It will indeed be interesting to see how a Quantum knot can contribute in areas of technology, etc.

In a breakthrough discovery detailed in a paper in the journal Nature Physics, a team of physicists from Finland and the United States has found a way to create knotted solitary waves, or knot solitons, in a quantum-mechanical field.

WOW! Singapore is heavily investing in their own Government to stay ahead of the cutting edge technologies especially around AI, Robotics, IoT, and other NextGen on the Horizon. I foresee the rest following suit. Currently we have the US, Australia, Canada, UK (last week on Quantum & AI), Japan, China, Russia, and now Singapore investing heavily in NextGen.

The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) announced on Monday (Jan 18) that the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) will be restructured to form two new organisations. They will become the Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) and the Government Technology Organisation (GTO).

Guessing my earlier posting about imagining you’re in a scenario that you must decide to either to have a chip implant v. waiting on a nanobot is not that far fetched. Nonetheless, there are truly careers that will not be replaced by robot such as artist’s works, designers, etc. And, new careers and companies will be created throughout the AI and Quantum evolution. https://lnkd.in/b5i5C-X

Think you are too smart to be replaced by a robot in your job? Think again.

Researchers have demonstrated the effects of superposition on the scale of everyday objects.

Of the weird implications of quantum mechanics, superposition may be the hardest for humans to wrap their minds around. In principle, superposition means that the same object can exist in more than one place at the same time.

Ordinarily, superposition is only relevant on the microscopic scale of subatomic particles. Effects on this scale are the key to some possibly groundbreaking technologies, like quantum computing. No one has ever demonstrated quantum effects on the scale of Schrödinger’s cat –the mythical unobserved cat in a box that is both alive and dead at the same time.

I truly love teleporting.

Teleporting the memories of an organism is possible, say scientists working on making the science-fiction phenomena come to life. They have come up with a theory that uses “quantum superposition” to place a microorganism in two places at once.

The Chinese physicists have drawn up a plan to use electromechanical oscillators and superconducting circuits to “teleport” the microbe. Its quantum state will be moved elsewhere, resulting in a big first step toward human teleportation.

Tongcang Li, co-author of the study from Purdue University, said: “We propose a straightforward method to put a microorganism in two places at the same time, and provide a scheme to teleport the quantum state of a microorganism.”

Run away AI & Robots in particular do not worry me at this point. When we have Quantum based AI and Robots meaning they can fully operate themselves; that’s when we have to truly consider our real risks and ensure we have proper safe gaurds. The bigger issue with current AI and Robots that are not developed on a Quantum platform or technology is hacking. Hacking by others is the immediate threat for AI & Robots.

Last year, British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking hinted at research he and a couple of colleagues were working on that could solve the infamous black hole information paradox, which states that information about matter that gets destroyed by a black hole, according to Einstein’s general theory of relativity, is supposed to be fundamentally conserved, according to our understanding of quantum mechanics.

Now, that paper has finally been posted online, and as hinted by Hawking back in August, the solution to this paradox could be black hole ‘hairs’ that form on the event horizon, making a kind of two-dimensional holographic imprint of whatever’s been sucked in. He says the existence of these hairs is provable, and their existence could win him a Nobel Prize.

But let’s back up a bit, because there’s a lot to wrap your head around here.

As I have mentioned in some of my other reports and writings; infrastructure (power grids, transportation, social services, etc.) is a key area that we need to modernize and get funding soon in place given the changes that are coming. As Russia’s own power stations were hacked; it will not be anything to when the more sophisticated releases of the Quantum Internet and Platforms are finally releasing to the main stream. Someone last week asked me what kept me up at night worrying; I told them our infrastructure and we have not been planning or modernizing it to handle the changes that are coming in the next 5 years much less the next 7 years.

With cyberattacks gaining in sophistication and volume, we can expect to see a range of new targets in the year ahead.
